Submission of Spam is possible by a number of methods, the supported list is in order of 'ease of use':

Outlook Addin (Outlook 2000,2002 and Outlook XP)
Outlook Express Addin
'Web form submission' interface
Command-line or Batch (not recommended for home users)
'Email forwarded submission' (this method sometimes loses the information that helps identify it as spam. )

What are the benefits of registering as a spam reporter?

If you take the few minutes required to register before reporting spam to ThreatMETRIX, your reports have a larger effect on the reputation of the sender you are reporting.

Reports of spam which have a submitter's name and contact details attached to them are treated with higher trust than those submitted anonymously. Not only is your submission treated with greater weight, but if you continue to provide accurate submissions, then your submitter reputation will gradually increase and the effect of your submissions on the sender reputation will increase as well.

This ultimately leads to more reliable evidence against spammers and increases the accuracy of the ThreatINDEX reputation system.
